Mixing Patterns and/or Prints is in for this spring. Just like color blocking, mixing patterns and prints is pretty scary & intimidating. Once again my only rule is confidence! Why confidence? Well because if you are confident in what you are wearing you will look like a Fashionista! Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City had amazing style, but in real life, I'm sure if we saw someone wearing a Carrie outfit, we would say "WTF is she wearing?" but the fact is Carrie Bradshaw rocked, and she could pull anything off :)
When mixing patterns and prints, you can keep it casual. I live in my jeans, which makes it so much easier to do, because you then focus on the top, clutch, shoes and accessories. Stripes are a good print/pattern to mix. I mixed my stripe top with a simple plaid top. Plaid in my opinion is a great investment, love my plaid top :) I then added my leopard heels from Nine West, to add another pattern to the equation. For the final touch, I grabbed my sequined clutch from accessorize.
